Music of Ihor Poklad with a focus on vocal and actor interpretation (based on the example of theatrical drama «Betrothed, but without marriage»)

Summary/Abstract: Purpose of Article. The research is based on the sophisticated analysis of the creation of Ihor Poklad. Methodology. Work is based on theoretical and practical (analysis, synthesis, generalization, comparison) and practical (author of the article based on performance experience) methods. Historical and cultural approach plays the central role in consideration of the question of becoming of the genre of the Ukrainian vaudeville song; analysis of intonation, comparative, functional, stylish, and performance parameters of the theatrical music of Ihor Poklad. Scientific Novelty. The novelty of the research is based on the achievements of analysis the dramaturgic lines of I. Poklad`s dramatic music (after dramas of Karpenko-Karuj). Conclusions. The interpretation of findings draws the way of stylish accordance for the actor-performance reading of theatrical and song music of Ihor Poklad. The research is concentrated on music style of Ihor Poklad. Theatrical music of composer is extraordinarily emotional, lyric, and based on traditions of the Ukrainian pop-song and Ukrainian dramatic theater. The professionalism of universal modern actor-singer allows reproducing complex of the composer's music. Creation of I. Poklad was synthesized by academic symphonic genre, folklore, and contemporary pop song. Songs aspire to the opera format. The way of stylish accordance of the performer (singer and actor) makes the critical basis of theory practices of performance art.
