Summary/Abstract: Purpose of Research. The research is connected with the semantic analysis of the image on the piece of plate of the Pit Grave archaeological culture. Methodology. The methodology of the research is to apply methods of historical-logical and component analysis. Scientific Novelty. The scientific novelty consists in the author's hypothesis concerning the interpretation of one of the oldest ideograms on the ceramics of the Left Bank of Ukraine. Conclusions. There is analyzed the hypothesis expressed by Yurii Shyilov concerning the ornamentation semantics interpretation of the piece of plate of the beginning of the third millennium BC from the burial near S. Sofiivka, Kherson Region. A conclusion is drawn about its uncertainty due to weak argumentation. There is given the author's reconstruction of the image content on it. It is within the association of the piece of plate, an important part of a woman's economy, with the image of a goddess, similar to the Indo-Aryan Aditi — “potter teacher” — “cows” — “ritual piece of plate”. Who, because of fertilization by the “serpent”, gave birth to the Almighties, and who provides grace to the supporters. In this case, through the livestock fertility growth.
