Summary/Abstract: As it follows, the present paper concentrates on exploring the relationship between child labor and child trafficking, while taking into consideration working children’s perspectives and deconstructing the notion of child trafficking. Hence, the paper attempts to prove that effective measures for reducing child trafficking should address the root causes and risk factors of the phenomenon. At the same time, valuing children work and their voice about the necessary improvements in relation to working conditions presents a protective factor for children not to become victims of trafficking and develop abilities to overcome difficult situations. Furthermore, presenting children’s right to work according to the Emancipation school of thought differentiates between child labor and child trafficking, arguing that an inclusion of child trafficking in the category of worst forms of child labor creates a certain degree of acceptance in society.
