Summary/Abstract: The integrated optional biology - technological education - fine arts, entitled ,,PHARMACY FROM MY GARDEN" was accomplished following discussions with students. These discussions arose because one morning a student coughed very hard, having an unproductive cough, and advised her to drink the necessary teas in this case. I was surprised that in a few days she would thank me and show her interstitial for studying herbs along with her colleagues. The proposed topics in this optional are not included in the curriculum and it will take place during a school year, one hour per week. The optional ,,PHARMACY FROM MY GARDEN” is adressing to 5th grade students who want to answer questions from everyday life: What plants have therapeutic properties? What effects does the therapeutic properties of plants have? What are the diseases that can improve / treat with certain plants? How do you eat herbal preparations? How and when are some herbs harvested? How to store these plants? Are plants or herbs harmful to humans?By going through the proposed themes the wider scientific and general horizon of students is widened. The hours will take place in the Technological education and Biology cabinets and in nature (school yard, meadows, springs forests etc.) engaging students in activities that will lead them into the wonderful world of science and technology.Interdisciplinary teaching of this optional provides a good knowledge of the effects of natural products on the human body, now that we are in the century of information and technology, of spectacular inventions, and yet we have not been able to find the same beneficial remedies as those in nature.
