Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to identify genre and style specificity of K. Stetsenko’s choral heritage in the vein of spiritual and aesthetic searches of Ukrainian culture of the period of national revival. The methodology of the work is based on the intonational concept of music in the perspective of intonational-stylistic analysis, which is successive from B. Asafiev and his followers, as well as to interdisciplinary and historical-cultural approaches. The latter allows us to identify the spiritual and semantic and style specificity of Ukrainian culture and music of the first half of the 20th century and distinguish them from the pan-European cultural area. The scientific novelty of the work is to broaden the notion of the poetics of the choral creativity of K. Stetsenko, who acts as one of the representative samples of the Ukrainian choral tradition of the designated period and, at the same time, demonstrates its deep connection with the spiritual genesis of the national culture. Conclusions. The poetics of the choral heritage of K. Stetsenko, represented by liturgical, paralyturgic, and secular genres, reveals the original symbiosis of the traditions of Ukrainian liturgical art and the profound archetypal qualities of the Ukrainian worldview during the period of national cultural revival.
