Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with the analysis of the derivational structure of the complement clause in Amazighe language. We started by definingthe verbal phrasal structure. We analyzed the derivational structure of the complement clauses and we concluded that the derivational structure of thecomplement clause resembles to the verbal phrase structure. We explained that the non-realization of the phonological properties of the functional head COMPs is legitimated by the feature [+/-optional] of the bridge verbs. We demonstrated, finally, that the optionality of the phonological traits of the complémenteur does not influence the CPphase.
