Summary/Abstract: Outsourcing is the method that has become popular in Polish companies’ managing and has affected human resources. The preliminary analysis of growth rate of: outsourcing, employment, labour cost, and production has suggested that the relationship between these selected variables exists (Grześ 2015). The aim of this paper is to conduct an empirical verification of the impact of outsourcing on employment and labor costs in Polish small and medium enterprises (SME) using the establishment-level data from 2005 to 2013.The econometric results showed that in small firms outsourcing influenced labour costs and employment positively. However, in medium firms this method affected employment negatively but contributed to growth of the labour costs.
