Summary/Abstract: As shown in literature studies and results of research on economic failures, it is important to create a strategy for limiting the risk of economic failure and, based on it limiting the scale of the failure of small businesses. This requires the cooperation of both the entrepreneurs themselves and the business environment institutions in the micro and macroscale. The aim of the article is to present the phenomenon of business failure in the context of small businesses New Chance Policy. The article reviews foreign and domestic literature on the problems of threats to the functioning of small businesses. In particular, the positive role of supporting the SME sector in the framework of the aid program analyzed has been designated, as well as the process of diagnosing risks, causes and symptoms of the economic failures of small businesses. Need to increase diagnostic capabilities for micro companies within the New Chance Policy seems reasonable. The results of literature studies indicate that the microentrepreneurs in particular are vulnerable to errors in the management of companies at every stage of the business and often inadequate resources, both tangible and intangible, deepen limit growth and development of this group of companies.
