The scientific novelty consists in revealing the ideological and cultural influences of the Ukrainian Cossacks on the political, social, legal, artistic and aesthetic views and concepts of the XVII-XVIII centuries, the key place of which was religion. Conclusions. As a result of the study, it has been established that, through worldview and religious, mental and psychological, spiritual and aesthetic interactions, through the synthesis of ethnocultural traditions and Baroque innovations, the Cossack spirituality becomes a new cultural paradigm in the consciousness of the Ukrainian culture, based in particular on the syncretic combination of religion and the aesthetosphere of nation. It is exactly the ability to syncretic combination of traditional and new, folk aesthetics and canons of Orthodox art, the attraction to the spiritual synthesis of religious and aesthetic, inherent to the Ukrainian Cossacks, transformed the European Baroque into a national artistic style – «Cossack Baroque».
