Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present the self-regulatory efficiency index and demonstrate its usefulness in the analysis of the competitiveness of enterprises.The study employed the 22nd ranking of enterprises from the TFL sector from 2017and presented research on the level of this index and its dynamics among these entities over a four-year period. The main research problem stems from the search the possibility of observation and consequently classification of companies that provide the TSL services according the different criteria as the classic ones traditionally used to create rankings. The hypothesis of research is as follows: enterprises classified according to their self-regulatory capacity allows expose the efficiency of these entities in the use of resourses, consequently companies which more self-regulatory skills have a chance to significantly improve their market position in future. The analysis of the average levels of the self-regulatory ability index allow the positioning of enterprises on the market and by averaging increments of the indicator in individual years to indicates the most dynamic and at the same time most dynamically developing company that use its competitive potential
