Summary/Abstract: Crop diversification is a risk management method used by farmers to mitigate theeffects of adverse events and to generate more stable income. It is a widely used method that gives the opportunity to deal with many sources of risk. The aim of the study is to identify the links between crop diversification and selected socio-economic features characterizing agricultural holdings. The problem discussed in the article was based on primary and secondary data. Primary data was obtained as a result of surveys conducted among farmers from the Central Pomerania region. The implementation of the goal took place through the use of a multidimensional correspondence analysis. On the basis of the conducted research,it was found that the factors that influenced the diversification of crops in Central Pomerania farms were the age, education, farmer’s agricultural experience, farm succession and the level of farm’s exposure to changes in atmospheric conditions. The analysis showed that crop diversification as a risk reduction method was characteristic of individuals with high exposure to weather risks. In addition, it was used in farms run by middle-aged farmers, characterized by extensive professional experience, having basic or vocational educationand having a successor intended to take over the role of farm manager in the future.
