Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the study is to discuss legal regulations in the field of adjusting the functioning of social cooperatives to new requirements for the protection of personal data. Dueto the fact that the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) does not provide specific solutions, each entity must independently develop a procedure for implementing the regulations. Instead of strict procedures, there are more flexible and more demanding processes from theadministrator. This will not be easy for some social economy entities, such as social cooperatives, especially those founded by individuals and locally active, with limited human and capital resources. The article is a kind of review of the regulations and corresponding activities of theentity, which is obliged to organize a system of personal data protection in accordance withthe EU regulation. Warranty functions will be provided in the documentation of personal data protection, which will allow the administrator to demonstrate the lawful operation. The GDPRonly provides for the keeping of records of processing activities and violation documentation, but the practice shows that other data protection procedures are also necessary. Each social cooperative should analyze the risk and develop a Personal Data Policy with attachments. You should also have your own privacy policy and IT system management instruction.
