Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with recent attempts of appropriation of the Serbian language or, in Prof. Milos Kovacevic’s terms, the ‘piracy’ of Croatian linguists over the corpus of Serbian cultural heritage. The analysis given is conducted on the text of the alleged translation (adaptation indeed) of Muskatirovic’s Pricta (1787) from the regional stokavian (Church Slavonic) into the regional stokavian (Illyric) idiom of Ambrozovic’s Proricja (1808).
