Summary/Abstract: The objective of this paper is to examine the rigor for carrying out the environmental impact assessment in projects on sustainable development but with small scale interventions, and to discuss the efficiency of the uniform approach for the evaluation and monitoring activity. There is a clear distinction between the potential impact caused by a large-scale project and a minor intervention, but its evaluation criteria are based on the same principles, on the one hand - theoretically satisfying the standards of a rule of law, and on another hand - it impedes the mechanism of implementation and implicitly raises questions regarding the replicability (inherent conceptual sustainability) of the examined development project.
