Summary/Abstract: In the article, the author presents methods of solving criminal problems based on the community policing, which means using social means to change the conditions leading to the criminal activity. The author presents the core features of the community policing as well as various methods of implementing this method worldwide, such as CAPS, SARA, CAPRA and PROCTOR. It is worth to mention that the solutions described are simple and their effectiveness has been proven in numerous countries.
