Summary/Abstract: Motivation is one of the functions of management. Each organization should establish its own system of motivation. This also applies to family businesses. It seems that in this type of companies all people are more motivated to succeed than other companies because it works “at home”. Financial criterion will have a dominant role here, but a nagging is that the participation of other motivating factors. Keep in mind that a proper system of motivation of each organization should be based on identified needs of people working in it. The article is therefore an attempt to identify the main factors of motivation in family businesses in terms of theoretical and practical. For these as a research methods used literature studies and case study.
