To the problem of genius of the Ukrainian poet-futurist Mihatlo Semenko (through the primary of the German philosophy of Immanuel Kant’s theory about genius)

Summary/Abstract: Purpose of the article: to investigate the phenomenon of genius on the example of the work of the poet-futurist Mikhail Semenko, taking as the basis the theory about the genius developed by the German philosopher Immanuel Kant. Methodology. The methodology of the study is to apply comparative-historical, biographical and psychological methods. Scientific Novelty. In work, for the first time, the assumption is made that the creative work of the Ukrainian poet-futurist Mikhail Semenko is acknowledged as a genius, that is, having: signs of the highest degree of manifestation of creative abilities of the author; influence on changes in the cultural and artistic environment; overtime. Conclusions. The works of the founder of Ukrainian futurism, Mikhail Semenko, are original in the own way, have become exemplary for a large number of contemporary poets, created the prerequisites for the development of a new cultural and artistic direction in the history of the twentieth century. (socialist realism), and are such as to reflect events that are ahead of the time of the writing of works, and therefore correspond to all the signs of the theory of genius, developed by the German philosopher Immanuel Kant.
