Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to determine the features of the preservation of traditions for contemporary Ukrainian arts and crafts. The methodology is applied dialectical, analytical methods for isolating characteristics and forms of modern Ukrainian arts and crafts; functional and instrumental - the study of transformations of decorative and applied arts and their influence on changes in aesthetic tastes and preferences of consumers. Scientific novelty consists in the fact that in-depth study of features of preservation of traditions to modern Ukrainian arts and crafts. Conclusions. The study concludes that the phenomenon neo-tradition affected the majority of arts and crafts, realized in various art styles and directions using a number of modern technologies and materials. With the rapid evolution of the dynamics of ethnic and cultural trends in fashion design, interior and household items changing artistic styles and trends are in unison with the latest technological processes and the desire to overcome the contradiction between the unification of object-spatial environment and its trend of individualization. It has been established that contemporary decorative and applied art is inherently inherent in innovative forms of creation and the spread of creative individualization. It was determined that the process of preservation of traditions in modern Ukrainian arts and crafts is seen in the organic combination of innovative shaping and use the most advanced technologies ever live the fantasy, mythological motives and beliefs of Eastern Slavs of space and native nature.
