Summary/Abstract: The present study aims to highlight the behavioral and demographic characteristics of the 205 offenders convicted of sexual crimes in Romania. Through the analysis of behaviors exhibited in the offense field three specific operating modes were identified. These are: "opportunistic", "aggressive" and "sadistic". The similarities of this model with other international models which refers to sexual are also taken into account.
