Summary/Abstract: In this study the author has presented rural lexics of Montenegrin coastline and esepecially the Bay of Kotor. Following the historical approach, the author pays a special attention to the speech of village Krivošije in the Bay of Kotor. Rural lexics has emerged under foreign influence (Turkish, Venetian, Austrian) but is for the better part a reflection of authentic creative linguistic processes. We discover similarities with neighbouring speech of Montenegro and Herzegovina at the time.
