Summary/Abstract: The aim of the present article is to analyze how different patterns of argumentation are used to emphasize polarization, aggressiveness and other forms of populist communication. Special attention will be paid to persuasive strategies and enemy imaging. The source material includes current documents generated by the German political party Alternative für Deutschland.
