Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to highlight the factors that are important for the conception and organization of teaching and learning foreign language vocabulary. The paper gives a detailed overview of the relationships between words, as well as a number of very useful concrete ideas that are suitable for learning and teaching foreign language vocabulary in formal setting, i.e. in the classroom.
