Summary/Abstract: The author exposes the changing nature of Russia’s relations with Central European countries. Despite Russia’s opposition to NATO enlargement, there are numerous issues of common interest that have shaped relations between Russia and the Visegrad group. While dialogue between Russia and the countries of Central Europe has not always been easy and continues to be marked by memories of recent Soviet history, the author remains optimistic citing prospects for more constructive relations in the future.
