Summary/Abstract: The attitude towards foreign language education has been changing a lot in a last few decades and so is the attitude towards the role of culture in such a process. We have become aware that teaching foreign language is effective only if its culture is taught along otherwise it can not be considered as education but marly as a set of instructions on how to use language patterns. How language and culture are linked, depends not just on the goals of foreign language teaching, but on the interpretation of the concept of culture as well.
