Summary/Abstract: Androgyny is a phenomenon described as a harmonious combination of both sexes’ physical and psychical features within one person. In the case of the appearance it refers to male elements in a woman’s looks, and vice versa. The article refers to issues connected with the subject of androg- yny and its specificity. By describing the activities and work of a model, Andreja Pejić, who throughout her whole life has struggled with androgy- nous looks, characteristic features of this phenomenon will be pointed out, as well as the way such people are perceived in the society. The se- lected subject will make it possible to consider the subject of sexuality in the fashion world and the canons of beauty that dominate it.
