Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on Genrich Sapgir’s poetry. Sapgir can be metaphorically labeled as the chronicler of the Lianozovo School – an open group of Moscow poets and painters from the late 1950s and early 1960s. Sapgir’s documentary method of writing is closely connected to concrete poetry. His polished words, eavesdropped and taken out of their everyday reality, are pregnant with reflections of life on the periphery.
