This year marks the first decade of Poland’s accession to the EU which lends itself for review and assessment of the integrative influence on local and regional development. A key task of local authorities is to increase the ability of assimilating Union funds on the local, as well as regional, level. This ability requires skill of the authorities in generating strategic projects, and managing said projects in a way which benefits local development. This article undertakes to assess the influence of integration on local and regional development.
