Summary/Abstract: The activities carried out in the nuclear field are one of the most regulated, authorized and controlled activities. The reasons are given by the particularly serious negative effect of such activities on the population and personnel exposed during work, on the environment and property, in case of failure to comply with the legal provisions, as well as with the technical limits and conditions of the authorizations issued by the national authorities involved. The terrorist attacks of New York, of September 11, 2001 have highlighted a series of vulnerabilities which may significantly affect the nuclear installations and objectives, the consequences being disastrous, as it resulted from the nuclear accidents of Chernobyl (1986) and Fukushima (2011). In this context, it is obvious that drastic measures of prevention and fight against nuclear criminality must be imposed. At the same time, it must be emphasized that there is an intrinsic connection between the nuclear field and national safety.
