Summary/Abstract: The proposed article examines the main models of power and influence in the process of communication between social objects in different social spheres. These are obedience, conformism, suggestion and manipulation. They find application in real and virtual forms of interaction between individuals, in intimate and business communication, in the media and mass communications. The basic constructs relevant to the issue of social influences are defined.
