Summary/Abstract: Journalism is concerned with the construction of opinion by means of press speeches. The resulting media ethos unfolds notably on the page of Une, a linguistic field where the discursive identity of a newspaper is generally materialized – the information being only a pretext. This article unveils the context in Cameroon, showing how print journalists manage to build professional, sociocultural and/or linguistic identities.
