Summary/Abstract: The main aim of the study is to present the Polish adaptation scale of impulsivity (UPPS) by Whiteside and Lynam. Iimpulsivity is treated as a feature that specifies a constant tendency to take risks, undertake unplanned activities, making decisions quickly and implementing actions without evaluating the situation and consequences first. The scale is used to measurefour aspects of impulsivity. These are: urgency, (lackof) premeditation: (lackof) perseverance: sensation seeking. The results of the polish adaptation are satisfactory. The article also describes two studies; one concerns the relationship between impulsivity and workaholism (measured with the use of Work-BAT) and the second between impulsivity and satisfaction connected with social relationship.
