Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the analysis of spoken Slovak discourses at A2-B1 level (approx. 13 hours) by 26 Ukrainian students of Faculty of Arts at Prešov University in Prešov. Selected features of Slovak on the phonetic level are analysed in these discourses (articulation of Slovak vowels, diphthongs and consonants, stress and quantity) in correlation with Ukrainian and Russian phonological systems. The aim of the analysis is to find out specific problems that occur in the acquisition of Slovak by Ukrainian students, which can help to improve teaching and perspectively to prepare a textbook and workbook of Slovak for Ukrainian students.
