Summary/Abstract: Comparisons of the variants of multi-vocal songs by instrumental accompaniment from South Albania from the time of the Second World War until present time enable recognition of essential features in the process of these traditions change. Instruments have made their own the role of the vocal voices, effecting at the other hand sensitively in fundamental changes in musical structure of the songs. Here is noticed especially the decrease of the role of the second solo vocal voice, and sometimes even its “elimination”, as well as fadedness of the role of central vocal held sound. The object of the study are also issues of the time factor in the interpretations of different periods as well as the role of females in this traditions dominate by men.
