Ukrainian Ethnic Folk-Instrumental Music as the Cultural and Art Phenomenon

Summary/Abstract: Purpose of the Article - to show the essential features and structure of the Ukrainian ethnic folk-instrumental music as the aspect of the art and cultural phenomenon; to analyze its main components such as the instruments, the composer creativity, the performance, the professional musical education, and the art criticism. Methodology. The methodology is based on such scientific methods as analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization, systematical and practical approaches. The methodological approach allows analyzing the Ukrainian folk-instrumental music practice and its components coordination. Scientific Novelty. The scientific novelty consists in the deep study of the theoretical and practical achievements of the Ukrainian ethnic folk-instrumental music as well as the analysis of its main component. Conclusions. Ukrainian Ethnic Folk-Instrumental Music is the art and cultural phenomenon. It is the complex system of the instruments, the composer creativity, the performance, professional musical education, and the art criticism. The numerous systemic and out-systemic interactions between these components provide the creation, the distribution and the using of the creative practice of the ethnic folk-instrumental music.
