Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article covers the question of the digital morphogenesis concept in design with its components «Emergence» and «Self-organization». It is also assumed their subsequent analysis for the further specification of integration of design methods which were outlined in the art of postmodernism of the second half of the XX century and, most likely, will have further development in the XXI century. The methodology is in applying of historical-comparative and chronological methods, as well as the method of terminological analysis, which helped to identify and consider terminological interpretations of «Emergence» and «Self-organization» and other terms related to the concept of digital morphogenesis. The scientific novelty of the study is to broaden the understanding of complex consideration of design at the present stage in the context of bionically-oriented theoretical and methodological concepts, in particular with digital morphogenesis. Conclusions. The concepts of «Emergence» and «Self-organization», covered in this article, are related to the digital morphogenesis in design and have a sufficient theoretical study. The practical significance of the processes has not yet found a full-fledged functional embodiment at this stage. For now, we can only talk about fragmentary attempts to apply this concept in creating objects related to a decorative and applied art, then to objects of design. At the same time, in the context of the regular appearance of new formative paradigms in design, the concept of digital morphogenesis can be interesting, it also requires constant refinement according to improving industrial production.
