Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to trace the presentation of scientific and technical concepts in modern works on the problems of sound engineering and acoustics. The information revolution has opened up new possibilities in the use of computer technologies in the system of music education; in connection with which the training of specialists of the 21st century has become impossible without mastering scientific, technical, and physical and mathematical knowledge. Methodology. To achieve the goal, the methods of the oretical generalization of physical and mathematical concepts and a comparative analysis of their presentation in educational literature on sound engineering and acoustics are used. Scientific novelty. For the first time, an analysis of the use of physico-mathematical terminology in educational literature on the training of sound engineers was conducted. For the first time, a consistent chain of ―thematic blocks of knowledge‖, which are associated with classical physical and mathematical ideas about sound, presented in an adapted form, was proposed. Conclusion. Taking into account the tendency of mathematization of applied and human sciences, it is advisable to create and introduce into the educational process of training sound engineers an integrated approach to the use of physical and mathematical concepts, introduce the discipline "Scientific and technical fundamentals of sound engineering" into curricula and create an appropriate textbook.
