Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article. To reveal the role of the Ukrainian language as an element of the legal culture of a civil servant, to determine her place in the legal sense of a civil servant. The methodology of the research is based on the methods of analysis and synthesis, and also the interdisciplinary approach combining culture, law, public service, public administration, and other humanities is used. The scientific novelty is to highlight the urgent issues of critical rethinking of the Ukrainian language as an element of the legal culture of a civil servant, the need for radical reform of the legal reality regarding the use of the Ukrainian language in public administration and in the modern space of Ukraine in general. Therefore, the theoretical elaboration of the foundations of legal development and functioning of the Ukrainian language as an element of the legal culture of a civil servant requires a comprehensive analysis of both the national legal culture, legal traditions, national mentality and legal consciousness of the Ukrainian people and the world public law thought. Conclusions. In the analysis of this topic, the authors came to the conclusion that the Ukrainian language is an important element of the legal culture of a civil servant, a way of spiritual and practical activity and communication relations that reflect the main legal, cultural and spiritual values, form legal opinions, knowledge and skills of citizen participation in the social and legal life of Ukraine. The authority of the Laws and their implementation by civil servants, under the exercise of their powers, influences and shapes the legal culture, legal consciousness and relevant legal views of the population.
