Summary/Abstract: The article links memories of people who, during the Nazi occupation, met with Radlińska and were part of her wartime life. The biography that has been reconstructed from many stories about the scientist has a chronological-problem arrangement. The article, on the one hand, enlivens the preserved memory of the mistress, and on the other, allows her life to be seen as an ongoing process, sometimes marked by “breaks and discontinuities”. The text reflects on the issue of mastery – especially the mastery visible in the activities of the one identified as the master. The article additionally complements Radlińska’s memories contained in the Tenth Letter and Eleventh Letter, which can be found in the Letters on Teaching and Research (1964) – “diaries” by Professor.
