Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to investigate the formation of the legal culture and legal consciousness of public servants. The methodological framework is based on the methods of analysis and synthesis, as well as on the interdisciplinary approach combining cultural studies, law, public administration and other humanities. The scientific novelty of the article consists in highlighting the topical issues of improving the legal culture and legal awareness of civil servants in the context of the professionalization of public service in Ukraine. First of all, it consists in the formation of professionalism, creative and analytical approach to the matter, additional motivation for the professionalization of public service. Now the state needs to move from the category of consumer of the results of the activities of the individual and society to the position of the main subject of ensuring the rights, freedoms, needs and interests at the proper professional level in the face of public servants. Considering the low public confidence as to the state bodies and the low level of the service sector, it is necessary to pay attention to the ways of forming the legal values of public servants, this will contribute to the improvement and streamlining of public service. The conclusion of the study points out methods of improvement of the legal culture and legal awareness of a public servant. This should be manifested on the basis of inner conviction and the need to comply with the requirements and norms of law, since the degree of awareness of principles and ideas creates the content of the persuasive aspect. This will be manifested in the successful performance of tasks and functions by public servants, based on the general norms of culture, moral principles, culture of speech and office work.
