Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to demonstrate the impact of a country´s dominant religion on the values and beliefs adopted by its followers. The article offers an analytical overview how religions, bearing some values, shaped culture in economic range. It consists of three parts, introduction and conclusions. In the first part, the position of two monotheistic religions (Christianity and Islam) on core economic values is presented. Secondly, the results of the European Values Survey taken in the European countries representing previously mentioned religions regarding three groups of values (social, economical and political) are presented and analyzed. The third part focuses on describing the concept of managing cultural diversity which assures the possibilities of taking advantage of the variety of faith of employees in the activities of an organization. It draws attention to the positive sides of managing cultural diversity and negative consequences of disregarding diversity in workforce management.
