Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to explore the artistic and educational potential of the work of Ukrainian composers of the late XIX - early XX century D. Sichinsky, L. Revutsky, J. Barnic, P. Senitsy. The research methodology involves the use of historical, chronological, biographical approaches, as well as such research methods as analytical, comparative, art criticism, which made it possible to clarify the characteristic features of the vocal heritage of the above-named composers (reliance on the folklore basis, artistic content, the poetic and musical utterance), reproduce and juxtapose the main musical images and analyze their image o-emotional deployment. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that for the first time the essence of the artistic and educational potential of the vocal heritage of Ukrainian composers of the late XIX - early XX centuries has been clarified. by structuring the genre-style palette of composers and highlighting the melodic nuances, polyphonic expressiveness, palm-tonal decisions and compliance with the laws of the unity of poetic and musical architectonics. Conclusions. The vocal heritage of Ukrainian composers of the late XIX - early XX century contains a great artistic and educational potential based on such characteristic features as: the depth and humanistic focus of the artistic content, the desire to deeply and truly recreate the literary text in music, the figurative unity of poetic and musical utterance; reproduction of national thinking in the creation of harmony, reliance on the folk basis; reproduction of the colorful range of feelings, emotional states of a person, their contrasting comparison.
