Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article. Perform an art criticism analysis of the works of several Ukrainian artists of the early twentieth century from the position of representation and popularization of the national style in Ukraine, which will give an opportunity to show the development of the Ukrainian national style in the fine arts. The methodology of the research is to apply a concrete historical method for analyzing the achievements of artists in popularizing the Ukrainian national style, as well as using the method of comparative analysis and historical and cultural approach, which helped to identify the main concepts of the national style in the work of Ukrainian artists in a global context. The scientific novelty consists in an attempt to comprehend and identify the main concepts in representing the national style in the works of Ukrainian artists in the early twentieth century, due to the historical, social and cultural character. Conclusions. The analysis of the essence and representation of the national style in the works of Ukrainian artists points to the interdependence of the ancient heritage and the achievements of the early twentieth century, which makes it possible to develop the concepts of the national style and influence the development of the national consciousness of the present.
