Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article. To characterize the specific features and characteristics of the formation of the professional skills of the pop artist, to determine the specificity of the use of a trick as an effective method in a stage performance. The methodology of the research lays in applying analytical, art studying, empirical, comparative, functional and systemic means of studying the principles of the artist's work over the performance; the main components of the professional activity of an artist, which are conditioned by the specifics of the genre; analysis of the technology of creating the original genre performance with a trick on its base.
