Summary/Abstract: Purpose of Article. On the basis of biographical analysis and the psychological portrait of I. Drapanchenko (1881–1936), to investigate the treatment in his work of philosophical and religious categories: God, being, happiness, motherhood, life, death. The methodology is general scientific methods – art history analysis, systematization, a generalization of the topic under study. The scientific novelty. The disclosure of philosophical motives in I. Driapachenko's works is a new approach to the scientific developments of his easel and graphic heritage. Therefore it will be interesting in the study of Ukrainian fine arts of the first third of the twentieth century.
