VIRTUAL REALITY – FROM TECHNOLOGY TO THE ART

Summary/Abstract: The study is related to the consideration of virtual reality as a new trend in the development of audiovisual arts. Methodology of investigation consists in analyzing the development of virtualization technologies in their historical, technological and aesthetic aspects. Scientific Novelty of the work is that analyzes the technologies of virtual reality in their relationship with the development of screen audiovisual arts. Conclusions. The growing power of computers and the development of software allow today to create ever more realistic virtual worlds that blur the line between real and virtual. Virtual reality itself is becoming a new aesthetic and artistic instrument, a new reality for audiovisual arts, which requires artists to adopt new approaches and professional mastering of this powerfu ltool to influence the audience.
