Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article. The unknown pages of the biography of an outstanding opera singer Larisa Arkhipovna Rudenko, student of the founder of the Ukrainian vocal school Elena Aleksandrovna Muravieva are considered. The basic methods of work of the outstanding vocal teacher E. Muravieva with students in the Opera Studio following the recollections of her famous pupils L. Rudenko and L. Efremova are described. The methodology of the research is based on the application of such methods as source-study, biographical, analytical-descriptive, retrospective and systematization. The creative searches of L. Rudenko are analyzed in the period of her studying in the Kyiv State P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory. The first opera parties, performed by L. Rudenko in the Opera Studio at the Conservatory are determined. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the use of archival materials from the personal fund of L. Rudenko, kept in the P. I. Tchaikovsky National Musical Academy of Ukraine and presented by documents testifying to high professionalism of L. Rudenko as a vocal teacher; personal fund of L. Rudenko of the Central state archive-museum of literature and arts of Ukraine, that is presented by periodicals of the end of 30th and beginning of 80th of ХХ of century, namely by the articles about creative activity of singer and reviews of musical critics of her concerts. Conclusions. The evaluation of interpretation of woman characters, performed by L. Rudenko, by leading musicologists, musical critics and opera singers-partners on the stage is presented. Considerable influence of carrying out activity of L. Rudenko is well-proven on development of the Ukrainian opera of the second half of ХХ of century.
