Summary/Abstract: In October 1925, the troops of the Greek General Pangalos invaded the Bulgarian region of Petrich. A danger emerged that new territories of the state would be annexed and the Bulgarian population would fall under a foreign domination. Therefore, the Bulgarians living in the region of Petrich opposed stubbornly the intervention.
