Summary/Abstract: The paper presents a semantic approach to the possessive verbs in Bulgarian, Czech and Russian from the point of view of lexical-semantic-field theory. Four groups of usages of this kind of verbs in real texts are established in the three languages. They are systematically used not only in the possessive field but also in the existential field, as auxiliaries and in set phrases. Component analysis to the semantic of these verbs is applied.
