The Modeling process of evacuation in case of terrorist attack

Summary/Abstract: Evacuation is a key aspect of crisis management, which is intended to protect civilians in life-threatening situations. In a situation where the operations include extremely diverse urban space; traditional modeling methods do not always give satisfactory results. This paper presents the possibility of using cellular automatons to model the process of evacuation in the event of a terrorist attack. The work uses GIS software with processing and visualization of Geo-spatial data. As a result of these considerations, we have developed a dynamic model of evacuation in the city of Olsztyn based on simple rules and taking into account the local interaction.
