An evaluation of urban park spaces in the city of Olsztyn

Summary/Abstract: An attempt to evaluate urban park spaces in the city of Olsztyn (NE Poland) was made in the present study. The evaluation criteria were as follows: validity of inventory data, vegetation cover condition, functions of the park spaces, ecological and environmental values of park vegetation. It was found that 7 out of 12 analyzed parks need modernization and changes in management strategies so as to optimize their usefulness.
